Not only does Apple wanted to unveile it's updated line of new MacBook Pro's, they also released an iPad Mini which has a Retina display to be sold alongside the former model.

More than just the Retina display, the iPad Mini also gets an engine overhaul; now sporting the fairly new 64-bit Apple A7 processor, along with the M7 battery saving core. 

 iPad Mini with Retina Display specs: 

  •  7.87-inch IPS LCD display @ 2048×1536 pixels, 325ppi 
  • Apple A7 chip, dual-core processor 
  • 16GB, 32GB, 64GB internal storage 
  • WiFi 802.11 a/c 4G/LTE (optional) Bluetooth 4.0 
  • 5MP iSight rear camera 1080p video recording 1.2MP front-facing camera 
  • 720p Facetime Assisted GPS with GLONASS 
  • Silver/White and Black/Space Gray 
  • iOS 7
Wi-Fi only version is also available for the iPad Mini with Retina Display and will be sold for USD399. Meanwhile, the former iPad Mini will still be sold for USD299 (16GB Wi-Fi).
